Since I've been using Love quite a bit it posts and probably will do so in future I thought I'd better define what I mean by love. So here goes...
The confusing thing about the word love is that it actually refers to more than one thing. Love can talk about romantic love, sexual love, the love you reserve for family, affection and love in action (and probably more). It is usually the last one, love in action, that I refer to.
So, what's love in action?
I don't think I even have my head around it totally. But basically, Love in action is the love that inspires you to do good to love people. An example of this would be giving a free meal to a homeless person.
I also talk about Love of the kind that God has, which again I don't think it is possible to fully understand. The best thing that describes this is the verse from 1 Corinthians: 4-5
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs."
Okay, so I hope that didn't confuse you even more... :P
